My second week at Cox consisted of me working on various tasks. First, I was asked to conduct research about audience targeting categories, specifically among industries. This led me to compile findings regarding CTR or Click-Through Rate for advertisements. CTR is a way of measuring the success of an online advertising campaign for a particular website by the number of users that clicked on a certain link.

My boss really wants me to get a good idea about the client side of advertising so I have been working with a university employee who used to deal with outside advertising and communications. Talking with her has helped me understand what goes into buying advertising such as developing a budget and choosing the mediums to advertise through.

I am looking forward to learning more in the upcoming weeks!
